About Dr. LeFave
Originally from the New England area, Dr. Jean-Paul LeFave obtained his medical degree from New York Medical College. He then went on to complete his General Surgery residency training at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in northern Virginia. Dr. LeFave received his undergraduate degree from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. Most recently, he has completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery with a concentration of Colorectal Surgery from the University of Texas at Houston.
Dr. LeFave is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery. He offers extensive experience in all aspects of minimally invasive colorectal care including surgical management of common anorectal disorders, treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, advanced laparoscopic surgery for benign and malignant colorectal disease, and the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor disorders such as constipation and fecal incontinence.
Dr. LeFave’s primary interest in the field of colon and rectal surgery is laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery for treatment of cancer as well as for benign diseases such as diverticulitis and inflammatory bowel disease. In addition, Dr. LeFave also specializes in treatment of common anorectal disorders. He also offers treatment of pelvic floor disorders such as rectal prolapse and fecal incontinence.
