Dr. Bartley Pickron, Board Certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery, graduated from medical school at the University of South Alabama.
He then pursued his general surgery training at Atlanta Medical Center.
After completion of his general surgery training, Dr. Pickron received
fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of
Southern California in Los Angeles.
Dr. Pickron is certified by the
American Board of Surgery. He has presented academic papers on the
benefits of laparoscopic colon surgery at conferences both here in the
US and also in Europe.
Dr. Pickron’s primary interest in the field
of colon and rectal surgery is laparoscopic surgery for cancer as well
as for benign diseases such as diverticulitis and inflammatory bowel
disease. In addition, Dr. Pickron also specializes in treatment of
common anorectal disorders. He also offers treatment of pelvic floor
disorders such as rectal prolapse and fecal incontinence.
Dr.
Pickron serves as staff surgeon and faculty at St. Joseph Hospital. He
also serves as staff surgeon at Methodist Hospital, Park Plaza
Hospital, and The Woman’s Hospital of Texas.
